Katrina

Two horses that were sisters, Katrina and Danielle, came home from Connecticut to begin a new life on Mystic Mountain.  Both of them carried scars of a barn fire that they had survived.  Katrina’s scars were psychological. She did not want to be in a stall without an open window.  It took several years before Katrina allowed herself to trust us and feel safe here.

From the very beginning she liked Bill and he liked her!  Anywhere he wanted to go, she was determined to take him, even if it meant to the top of a steep pile of gravel or up a mountain side.  She is a great trail horse!   Recently she has become one of the top horses in demand as more and more of the riding students discover what fun she is.

We love her crushed velvet coat that she keeps all year round. We love Katrina!
