Recent News: April 2018

Great Adventure Day Camp preparations are in full swing! Who is new?  Who is returning?  Who is now a Teen Team Leader heading up one of the major summer camp disciplines?  We may have just gone through a long hard winter, but the lights of passion and commitment are shining bright on Mystic Mountain.  The new 2018 Teen Team launched in January with leadership training events every month.  This team of 24 high school and college students is from all over the surrounding Pennsylvania towns and villages, but also from North Carolina, Indiana, and we are hopeful that our Wyoming girl will return!

We are getting ready for campers to experience the best summer camp ever!  Get ready for………Ezekiel Bones ….Search for the Breath of God.  This summer promises to be quite an adventure for everyone!!  Registration opened just in time for Christmas gift giving.  There are still openings in all three weeks of June 25-29, July 9-13 and July 23-27, however some disciplines are filling up fast so don’t delay if you have a child interested in attending!  Cost per week is $219.  A $75 deposit will hold your space.

Ladies Beginner Pistol Classes- You don’t want to mess with these pistol packin’ mommas!  Several different groups have completed a Ladies Only Beginner Pistol Class instructed by Terry Sadler and Kit Torrelli.  The demand has been so high that the guys have been running about one class every month.  Watch our Facebook page for details.  The next class is April 21 from 9-3 with a cost of $50.  Advance registration is required.

Welcome New Mystic Mountain Staff- Marie Olczak is Mystic Mountain’s new Event Coordinator.  If you would like to rent one of our facilities to host an event of your own, Marie is your contact person.  We are now offering the Event Center, Picnic Pavilion, Cabin and Pine Lodge (rifle range classroom) for use by outside individuals or groups.   Weddings, graduations, and birthdays along with business meetings and banquets and small conferences are just some of the possibilities that we would love to explore with you.  You can contact Marie at marie@mysticmountaintrainingcenter.org.

Almost There, but NOT Quite- Phase 1 was the floor, posts and roof.  Phase 2 was the walls, windows and doors.  Everything is up and done.  Now we just need to pay the final construction costs.  We are so close!  Over $30,000 was raised in just two years.  You have totally blown us away with your generosity.  But we still have one final bill of $3000 to pay and then we will be completely debt free.  Will you consider a donation to the building fund to help get us out of the red? Your donation of any amount will help start the year on a firm foundation in order to focus on spreading the Good News of Jesus and bring the message of hope to all who cross our paths.

Thank you for being part of the Mystic Mountain team.  Your prayers and financial support are helping to build that strong foundation that will stand for many years to come.

Blessings to you and yours,

Denise Olczak
